Three months ago, bush-fire threatened our farm; today I'm painting our burnt resilient rejuvenating country. My work is twelve panels—acrylic, gold leaf, wax on burnt, reclaimed birch ply—mounted with magnets on steel, designed to shift like the land itself. Reconfigured endlessly, it mirrors fire, rain, sun, and new growth. Over four weeks I painted a 360° view of thhe ;and close to me that hhad burnt, each panel a moment, a perspective, a drama—fire into gold - again and again.
Finishing: The work is made up of twelve 300×210mm panels that are magnetised and mounted on a steel frame. This allows you, the viewer to reconfigure the work almost infinitely - In fact there are 400,001,600 variations possible,
